Our Travel Terms & Conditions policy
Each client is required to accept our Travel Terms & Conditions before a reservation is accepted.
When will I receive the itinerary for my event?
Itineraries are sent to each client 30 days before the event via email. We try to get itineraries finalized sooner and if we do, you will receive it via email.
Are flights included?
No. You are responsible for making your way to the event destination.
Can I share a room with a friend?
Shields Era Travel offers single occupancy (one person per room) at most of our events, unless otherwise specified. If you and a friend want to share a room, please contact us directly at travel@shieldsera.com to discuss costs, and if we will be able to accommodate this request.
Are the Retreats or Group Trips open to all genders?
Shields Era Travel events are for females only.
Will I have free time on the Retreats or Group Trips?
Yes, you will have some free time during the events. You will be provided a full schedule of all activities, so that you can make your plans.
Do you provide refunds?
No, we do not provide refunds. Each client is required to accept our Travel Terms & Conditions before reservation is accepted. To protect your investment, each and every client is encouraged to purchase travel insurance.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, depending on how far out the event date is. Please get in touch to find out the options.
Do I have to make a payment every month?
You should make every efforts to make a payment every month. If you find yourself not being able to make a payment, please send us an email. If you fail to make a payment for 60 days without any communication to us, your reservations will automatically cancel.
What payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Discover, American Express and Mastercard.
What if Shields Era Travel does not have enough people and cancels the event?
On rare occasions, Shields Era Travel may have to cancel an event. This may be a result of not enough participants to operate the tour, or for other events outside of our control. Shields Era Travel reserves the right to cancel any tour, at any time up to the day of departure, due to no fault of Shields Era Travel. In the event of a cancellation by Shields Era Travel, all monies paid for the canceled event will be promptly refunded. Shields Era Travel is not responsible for any penalties imposed by any airline.
Do you provide travel quotes for private trips?
No, we do not provide quotes for individuals or groups.
Is Shields Era Travel a travel agency?
No, we are not a travel agency.
What are the activity levels and general fitness requirements to travel?
Our events require walking and/or other physical exertion. You can expect to get in and out of transportation, and manage your personal belongings without assistance. For these reasons, our tours are not suitable for anyone physically challenged, anyone who is walking impaired, or a slow walker who cannot keep up with the pace of the group. If a traveler chooses to go on a tour and then opt-out of included activities, for whatever reason, no refund will be given.
Do I need a Vaccine to attend the Retreats and Group Trips?
Vaccination is not required for the events. But we strongly encourage you to visit your physician, alert them of your travel plans, and follow your physician’s recommendation. Also follow each applicable country travel requirements and guidelines.
Do I need travel insurance for the events?
Trip insurance is strongly recommended and advised. Questions regarding what the travel insurance does or does not cover should be addressed directly with the travel insurance company. Also, your personal medical insurance generally does not cover you when traveling internationally. To cover the risk of a medical emergency or accident while traveling, you should consider purchasing medical evacuation insurance. Below are some optional Travel Insurance companies. We encourage you to do your due diligence to find the best plan for you.
